Where can I add names to my family tree? It already looks complete.
If your family tree already looks complete, you can add names by looking for descendants rather than ancestors.

Specifically, look for
That's it. Now we will search for the missing names at familysearch.org/search by entering the family information we do have. Perhaps the missing descendants will be listed in historical records. Note: when adding names of descendants of an ancestor, we do not perform the temple work for the in-laws or the siblings of the spouse. We can add information for others, but for temple work, we are looking for blood-relatives (and the spouse of the descendant). You may review the official policy when reserving a name. In addition to looking for descendants, we can also find ancestors in adoptive, step, and foster family lines. To find places where you can add new names, hover over a family in your family tree and check for: "All Parents". Another option is to use puzzilla.org. |
